Ginny lives by herself in an old bus, following an unhappy childhood. She's undertaking community service after taking revenge on her former boyfriend, Calvin, for dumping her by stealing his car and writing it off - just as Alison Carr undertakes community service at the same time. It doesn't take long for her and Ginny to come to blows.

Ginny is dragged further into events after she accidentally gets hold of a tape that incriminates Wayne for lying to the woman he loves, Susan Palmer. Alison arranges to have Ginny's bus trashed in order to find the tape - leaving Ginny homeless. From then on, she flits between homes at the mansion in Sydney, at Charlie's and at David's country house in Sunbury.

Ginny tries to throw herself at Glen Young, for whom she has strong feelings, but he puts her off gently. She does have a fling with Craig Maxwell after he experiences turbulence in his relationship with Debbie Halliday.

A would-be singer, Ginny eventually becomes an accomplished fashion designer - with help from Charlie Bartlett - but her life is cut sadly short after she's killed in a car accident while she and Glen are chasing a drunk Wayne.
